True Zero Hook

Small was an amazing band. I saw them at Margaret's once, or maybe it was Local 506. It was the first time I'd seen anyone else with a Husker Du sticker on their guitar case. Pretty cool. Full on, enveloping, rythmic building guitar rock. Chopsocky says more about being in a band than any other song I've ever heard. An elegy for the Chapel Hill scene.

It's all so serious
this isn't what I meant.
no time to think about it
no time to lose my head
it's all so complicated
it's all so bent
the kids are catching on
but I cant pay my rent
chorus
I feel schizophrenic, dirty,
never get to sleep
already seven-thirty
better brush my teeth
full of beer and bad ideas
it's time to pull the plug
understanding everything
passed out on the rug...
